As part of the work for estudio interlínea, I was commissioned an exhibit to talk about the history of Iglesia San José. As part of the project, I offered, as long as I could have it done, a video for turists to come in and see. We had only one opportunity to do this, since there was only one day with the rented lift. Everything was going great, until the life ran out of battery and the lift stopped working. This situation did not allow for a finished, well done video, but at least it provided a funny comical memory…

:: ][ Personal Exploration ] 1 [ PixelVision ][ ::
As part of a studio project, I carried out an exploration in the spirit of the PixelVision. Honoring the tradition of pixelvisionaries, I underwent a personal study of my way to-and-from design studio. I recorded these different videos using a point and shoot canon s70 digital camera, which since it was not really intended for video recording, it provides an “amateurish” feel and look.
In my first exploration, I recorded my way into the studio during the day.

As the media landscape develops, the graphic designer’s role mutates respectively. Calling myself a graphic designer in this world of cellphones, pda’s, ipods and laptops seems irresponsible. My professional description can no longer be specific. This website intents to explore, through the animated world, the condition generated by this technosocial reality. Individual frames are loosing interest in this contemporary visual culture. The additive nature of the multimedia landscape demands my curiosity. The postmodern surface is being cracked in the search for deeper meaning. Where will this lead? I don’t know, but I intend to use this website to explore, play and to try to understand these changes that are upon me to understand where I am headed to.
